Root Beer Docz
Chestnut Stallion foaled in 1994 stands 15.1 hands and weighs 1200 lbs.
“Root Beer” is by Root Beer Doc ( 1987 World High Point Jr. Working Cow Horse, ROM in working cow horse, heading, healing and reining with 114 AQHA Points) by Doc’s Prescription (Grand Champion Halter, Show ROM, NCHA money earner). His dam Docz Daphne is by Doc’z Zimfandel (AQHA Champion, ROM cutting and halter). His dams’ extended pedigree is AA and AAA racing.
Purchased at 6 weeks old from Sandy Ridge Stallion Station. He began his training at 2 years with Dave Manning where he spent 10 months building a solid foundation. He started a breeding career at 3 while in barrel training. In barrel competition at 4 he showed great promise. He inherited his dams willing attitude and displays his sires proven athletic ability. Eager work with a pleasant disposition and unbeatable work ethic it was undetectable at competitions that he was a stallion. Due to a career ending accident in the breeding shed he was retired from competition. With limited breeding to select mares (farm only) Root Beer has produced outstanding athletes (see barrel horse). “Striking” is the word many have used to describe him.
