“Okie”

 

Sorrel gelding foaled in 2001 stands 15.3 hands and weighs 1150lbs.

 

Okie is by High Course (APHA) (si 80) by Jet Lark (si 94).  His dam High On Music by On a High (si 113)  is Dash for Cash on the top side with Easy Jet on the bottom.   Okie’s dam is Peluca Rosa (si 74) by Embrujo FG (si 91) who is First Down Dash and Bugs Alive in 75. Her dam Aftons Rose (si 92) goes back to Three Bars on the top and Three Bars and Jet Deck on the bottom.

 

Bred to run a hold up on his papers left him un-raced.  He was then turned out and recently relocated from Oklahoma (Oct.15/07). 3 months with a reining trainer he has started barrel training and is jogging a nice pattern.  He demonstrates the same intelligence and athletic ability as his siblings.  He has a full sibling barrel racing and another started in cutting.   He is loaded with respect and is great to handle.
