“Cleat”

 

Sorrel gelding foaled in 2001 stands 16.0 1/2 hands and weighs 1200 lbs.

 

Cleat is by Plentyofit (TB) who is by Mr Prospector (TB) by Raise a Native (TB).  His dam is High Talk (si 80) by Dashing Cleat (si 111) by the great First Down Dash (si 105) and the mare Beduina (si 92).

 

He was raced lightly in Oklahoma and had five starts where he acquired a 74 speed index.  His last race was as a five year old.  His owner/trainer who raced him is a prominent figure in the Oklahoma racing scene.  He starts his horses western and brings them along slowly, riding them in a halter until they go to the track.  Cleat is very respectful, handles, ties and hauls well.  I am waiting to pattern him until the fall when things slow down and I can give him 100% of my time.
