Bay mare foaled in 2000 stands 14.3 hands and weighs 1300 lbs.

 

Painter is by Peppy Badge Olena by Peppy San Badger and the great mare Montanas Lena by Doc O’Lena.  Her dam Peca O Lea is by Mr Freckles O Lena by Colonel Freckles.  To sum it up her 5 generation pedigree includes Peppy San Badger, Colonel Freckles and Doc O’Lena 3 times.

 

Bred by Jim Butterfield she was started in cutting but due to paperwork her training was suspended.  Although she does not possess the typical barrel horse traits a cross with a running quarter horse type has produced the barrel prospect so many are searching for. This is one fantastic broodmare! Really good to handle, great milker and super protective.
